What is Dreidel Revolution? 

Dreidel Revolution is the answer to the question: What would the traditional Hanukkah game of dreidel look like if decent game design principles were applied to it? Could you make dreidel games that all kinds of players – kids, adults, novices, board game enthusiasts – would enjoy?

Dreidel Revolution combines all the things you love about traditional dreidel with upgraded game mechanics and innovative new components. The result? A collection of fast and fun dreidel games your family and friends will actually look forward to playing.

We've taken dreidel, a game that provides entertainment enough to last for one night, and expanded it to provide fun and enjoyment for all eight nights of Hanukkah. It's a new Hanukkah miracle!

Dreidel Revolution includes eight different games: four basic games for players of all ages and four games more appropriate for players age 10 and up.

The most prominent of the new components included with the game are the patent-pending Eight Crazy Dice™. The dice have eight sides (one side for each night!), with two sides dedicated  to each of the four traditional dreidel symbols. This gives them 1-in-4 odds of rolling each symbol, making them completely interchangeable with regular dreidels.

In order of get everyone their games in time for Hanukkah 2020, we are making a very limited edition of 750 copies. Of those, 700 copies are available on Kickstarter. The remainder will be donated to charity.

Hi All,

Those of you who backed the Jewish Wisdom Ball know that it was a long-time dream of mine come true. I'd had the idea for years, but only the magic of Kickstarter and the support of generous backers enabled me to bring the product to life. 

A while back, I heard a friend tell me a similar story. He had an idea that he'd been sitting on for a long time and never had the means to make a reality. I saw in his idea a lot of what drew me to the Jewish Wisdom Ball: a tchotchke that nobody needs but that will probably make them smile, if only for a few minutes. I offered to help him make and market his idea by bringing it to Kickstarter and that campaign launched yesterday. 

Behold, Screaming Baby Dice:

Screaming Baby Dice make a perfect baby shower or newborn gift. While not inherently a Jewish product, they convert easily into Jewish Screaming Baby Dice by switching the order in which you read the dice. In the picture above, simply flip the order so that "She might be cranky" turns into "Cranky, she might be."

Hi All,

Thank you for all the kinds words, even from those that would like to get replacements for the large Jewish Wisdom Balls. You don't have to feel bad for asking. It's better for you to get something you're happy with now than to silently bear a grudge for years, only to blurt out at a family bar mitzvah how much you've always hated the large Jewish Wisdom Ball, and just as the DJ is switching songs, so that everyone in the room hears it and then no one wants to talk to you on the ride home. We've all been there. 

That said, the replacement offer is only for a limited time. I need to know what my available inventory looks like after replacements, which means putting a deadline on requests. So if you'd like to replace the large for the small Jewish Wisdom Ball, you will need to send the request by Sunday, January 22. Just send an email to [email protected], accompanied by a short note explaining what the issue is.

By now, many of you have taken your Jewish Wisdom Ball out into the wild and some have mentioned friends or colleagues asking where they can get one of their very own. Lucky for them, the e-store is now up and running. Send them to jewishwisdomball.com where they can purchase a small Jewish Wisdom Ball for the low, low price of $13, plus shipping. The large ball is currently marked as "out of stock," but that's only because WooCommerce doesn't have a product flag called "substantially unsatisfying." An oversight, I'm sure.

So if you love the product and feel like sharing, point your friends and relatives to the website. It couldn't hurt!
